My Super Cyber Safety Kahoot

As part of our unit on Communicating Through Technology, I was challenged to create a Kahoot, consisting of 6-10 questions and answers.

The purpose of the Kahoot was for me to reflect on, and show what I have learnt about Cyber Safe Behaviours.

My quiz has been designed to help challenge the thinking of another primary aged student.

Below are some screen captures of sample questions taken from my Kahoot quiz.

I am proud of this question and set of answers because it can be tricky and many might think the correct answer is 15 minutes which should be the time you spend on homework, when really it’s 1 hour.

I believe this question and set of answers is the most challenging because many might believe that it is the yellow option because it is long and has many numbers and letters.

I believe the image linked to question 7 is the most powerful as it shows how upsetting it can be when someone cyberbully’s you. The words they say ca hurt you forever.

I found this Kahoot Quiz challenging because it was hard to find balance in the questions and not make the questions too hard or too easy. It was also hard to find images that matched the question or statement. Most images were either inappropriate or just not fitting to the question.

I’m also super excited as on Wednesday we get to share our Kahoot with our parents as well as the year 2’s at our school. That’s all I have for today, so bye for now!

Plot and Theme

Hello! I’m back for my second blog post. This time, I’d like to tell you about plot and theme as well as the difference between them.

For our reading timely feedback task this term, we had to make a presentation on plot and theme. I read the book “Suri’s Wall” then wrote about the theme and plot of the book. The theme of a book is the lesson or real word connection of the book. The plot however, is the story itself and what happens. Our teacher spent lots of time making sure we understood it and I hope you can wrap your head around it too. Here was the video itself that I made on the book “Suri’s Wall”.

AMAZING AVATARS

Hello, I’m here today with my first post to tell you guys about avatars.

An avatar is basically a cartoon image of yourself. They need too look similar to yourself but they won’t be identical to you. Usually an avatar will have a colourful background or fun clothes.

It is very important to use an avatar instead of a real life image is because hackers might use your image for something else. They could also track you with a photo. Avatars prevent this all from happening since they are only a online recreation of what you look like.

I made my avatar have very light and wavy hair as that is what I have in real life. My avatar is also colourful like myself. I have a head band in my avatar picture because I have a big headband collection.

If you could make an avatar, would it be for fun? Do you use an avatar on your blog? Is there a distinct feature you would add? Do avatars interest you as much as I like them? I hope you can tell me in the comments.

Here’s how my avatar turned out. I hope you like it!

Thanks for reading my blog post. Bye!
